Campbell, 77, a long-time resident of Farmingdale, died Dec. 24, 2000 in Tempe, AZ, after a lengthy battle with heart disease. Mr. Campbell, a maintenance supervisor, was born in New York. However, "Al" was better known for his humorous comic strips and cartoons, which regularly appeared in Farmingdale community newspapers during the seventies.
