Farmingdale Care Hopes to Grow
Farmingdale Care, a nonprofit organization with offices stationed at Albany Avenue Elementary School which provides before and after school daycare programs for community children, is looking to expand its services. In applying for a New York State grant for construction of a new facility, Care hopes to build a new center where they can further their programs available to local preschool and school-age children.

HS Graduation Ceremony Seeks a Home
For the past two years, Farmingdale High School graduating seniors had their ceremony at the gymnasium at SUNY Farmingdale. At a meeting of the board of education last week, Superintendent of Schools Gerard Dempsey announced that due to continuing construction, SUNY Farmingdale is unsure if their facility will be available the last week of June when the graduation ceremony usually takes place.

Greater Long Island Running Club Seeks Scholarship Nominations
The Greater Long Island Running Club is now accepting nominations for its 17th annual Scholarship Award. The club plans to present $2,000 in US Savings Bonds to one or more graduating high school seniors to be selected on the basis of his or her service to the Long Island running community.
