Farmingdale PAL recently completed its inaugural Inline Roller Hockey season and is already preparing for another season in the spring. There was a great turnout at the end of the season award ceremony. All players were given awards and were treated to an open skate at the Sportime arena in Bethpage.
Farmingdale PAL would like to thank all the people at Sportime for their help this season and look forward to a long relationship with them. They would also like to thank the volunteer coaches, without whom they would not have been able to get their program started, for their time and effort.
The season consists of 12 sessions, including practice times for each team. Players were individually rated and teams were put together according to those ratings. This past season there were 13 different divisions, with players ranging in age from the first through eighth grade. PAL hopes to double the amount of participants next season.
Registration for the spring session will be held at the Farmingdale PAL Clubhouse on Jan. 15 and 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. The Clubhouse is located at 31 N. Front Street in Farmingdale. For more information on PAL call 249-6825.
