The Village of Farmingdale kicked off the 2000 holiday season with the annual lighting of the tricentennial tree on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Musical entertainment was provided by both the Farmingdale High School mixed chorus and the South Shore Brass Ensemble. After nearly two decades of battling to share in county sales tax revenues, members of the Nassau County Village Officials Association (NCVOA) announced a milestone victory as the Nassau County Executive's 2001 adopted budget includes sales tax sharing for villages.
