The YES Community Counseling Center recently sponsored a host charity softball game and cookout at John J. Burns Park in Massapequa.

The event's major sponsor, Joseph Maniscalco, was joined by over 300 community members to support YES in its efforts to build a community center. "The event was a tremendous success, raising over $25,000 for our organization," stated Jamie Bogenshutz, YES executive director. "Once again, our community has demonstrated their ability to work together to improve the quality of life for others."

This fund raiser has to date been YES' most successful thanks to the generosity of the community and Alec Baldwin, who participated in the event. Next summer, YES will be planning an outing that will involve families on an even more exciting level.
