All of last week's games rained out, and they will be played after our tournament is over.
The "Over the Hill Gang's" Annual Charity Benefit Tournament for Cerebral Palsy starts tonight. The tournament is being played in memory of Kenny Reynolds.
The tournament is played in a three week series of games that will determine two final teams to play on the night of the benefit, Sept. 2.
All teams are seeded by their winning record. The schedule for the first week of games follows. There will be no games played during Labor Day week.

On Friday, Sept. 22, the night of the final game, we will also hold our annual Homerun Derby. A challenging contest between some of our best hitters for the high honor of Homerun King. There will be refreshments free to all during the festivities that night. This column will have more information at a later date.
So mark Sept. 22 on your calendar and come out and root for your favorite teams and be part of our very special charity event.
Our league has lost another member recently. Jim Gannon (J-Two), was a 22-year veteran of the league and the former sponsor of the Farmingdale Driving School. Jim passed away two weeks ago and was an active member of St. Kilian R.C. Church.
Robert Bischof (Dariens), also lost his father Ken suddenly last week. All of us with this league wish to extend our heartfelt prayers to the families.
We also would like to congratulate new grandparents Bob and Teresa Darienzo on the birth of 9 lb., 9 oz. Jack Robert, born to their lovely daughter Mary and her husband Bob.
