With one week left in the season, the titles have been decided.

The American League winner is Granny O'Sheas, who, after winning last year in the National League Division, were moved to the other league. This is the first time that this has happened in this league.

O'Shea's beat McCourt & Trudden 15-3 in a game that went to the seventh inning tied 3-3 before Granny's broke it open for 12 runs in the last three innings to win the title. Defense was the key early, but offense took over late. "Fast Ed" pitched a sparkler and had three hits and scored three runs to boot. Three RBI nights by Gary Innis, Robby Kirk and Gary Tolp helped to make it all possible. Moby Drugs won the National League title with a win over Mers Pub. They have a week off now to concentrate on the coming charity tournament where they have won the second seed in play. Morgan B's scored three runs in the eighth inning to defeat JPs Grill 9-8. Doug, Dervin and Jack Brosnan led the offense for JPs going 3 for 3 at the plate. John Cenuto, Paul Pombonyo, Jim Nolan and Manny Asta went 2 for 3 and Charlie Koh had two RBIs for JPs.

Darien lost 10-8 to Barboy, dropping their record to 9-5-1. Congratulations to Granny's on a great year and the AL title.

Barco was thumped by Changing Times, extending Barco's tough season. The main bright spot for Barco was the continuing offensive force of Bill "Ace" White. "Ace" had a triple and two HRs and along with "Woody" Diamond, was the Barco offense. "Ace" attributes his success to his frequent golf warm-ups on game days, now if we can only get him to break to 2" barrier when he jumps... "Air Jordan" he's not!

Changing Times won the game on an overall effort by the team led by league president Jim Reilly, who pitched the game for CT. Reilly said he was impressed with Whites' performance and hopes he enters the homerun derby this year.

Thirsty won over J-Two and have two games to play today to finish the season.
