Everyone loves a parade and the residents of Farmingdale are no exception.

The Farmingdale Fire Department is to be commended for its organizing of the Memorial Day Parade. The Howitt and High School bands are to be applauded for their inspiring marching band music.

And thanks to all the Brownies, Cub Scouts and other organizations who participated in honoring our veterans to make the parade a total community effort. The addition of the Division Champion Farmingdale High School football team was also an added plus. (Maybe it will even serve to kick start a wonderful new tradition in Farmingdale.)

Thanks to all for showing their pride in being an American and making this Memorial Day one to remember.
