School Budget Defeated At Polls
The unthinkable happened with the school elections on May 16. The proposed Farmingdale School District Budget, which administrators already previously trimmed, was rejected. The numbers were close: 1047 residents voted for the budget, while 1365 voted against it.

School Board Members Are In
School board President Anthony Vitale received the highest number of votes in the school elections this week. With a colossal 1613 votes, he was easily welcomed back for yet another term. The two other unopposed incumbents were right behind. First on the agenda for board members is the defeated budget.

Farmingdale PAL Girls Lacrosse Continues Dominance
The two best teams so far this season in the new senior league met last Sunday with first place on the line. Both the Garden city A team, composed of all eighth graders and the Farmingdale Flames entered the game undefeated. At the conclusion of an extremely well-played and exciting game, it was the Flames who remained in sole possession of first place and undefeated in top of the LI Senior Girls Lacrosse League with a 16-11 victory.
