What is the matter with the people of Farmingdale? Everyone is so angry it makes me want to cry. I cannot make it one day without someone giving me the finger or trying to cut me off at the elementary school. My whole family lives here and the stories that they tell me about what happens to them in the stores on main street or at the park makes me furious! Why do some people act like they are better than everyone else and then display such rude and disgusting behavior? Two years ago I witnessed a man from Sunset Avenue cut a woman off at Woodward Parkway and then when she beeped her horn at him, he slammed on his brakes and got out of his car screaming at her! He then started banging on her window and spitting at her. She had a small child in the back seat and he was crying. I later saw her up at the school sometime later and noticed she was pregnant. How would this man feel if someone yelled at his wife like that! I know that is an extreme case but I am so disheartened about this lovely town. I am raising my family here and they are taught kindness and respect in school and church, but when they see teenagers mooning passing motorists or mothers ignoring each other up at the school I am sure it confuses the heck out of them. We are all stressed with our busy lives but don't you think our lives would be happier if we respected our neighbors? I am not directing this letter to everyone because I know there are still some really good people here; I think those people know who they are.
