The Farmingdale High School Hockey Team came back from winter break on Sunday night to win a hard-fought game against Island Trees. In the first period goals were scored by Farmingdale defensemen Shawn Raleigh and John Balcuk. Island Trees also scored two goals ending the period tied. In the second period Island Trees scored three more goals.

The Dalers battled back with good defense, great goal tending by Jim McCaffrey and two goals by defenseman Jim Capuano. In the third period Island Trees continued to score, however, it was not enough to top Farmingdale with a goal by Jeff Schiffner, two goals by Justin Kittelstad and two more goals by Shawn Raleigh for the hat trick. The final score was a 9-8 Farmingdale victory. The FHS Hockey Team's next game will be Friday, March 11 at 7:45 p.m. at Iceworks in Syosset, where they will face Valley Stream.
