State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, who represents Farmingdale, Massapequa, and several other south shore communities, made some strides this week in his efforts to get tougher measures for keeping our children safe on school buses.

The Farmingdale High School Hockey Team came back from winter break on Sunday night to win a hard-fought game against Island Trees. In the first period goals were scored by Farmingdale defensemen Shawn Raleigh and John Balcuk. Island Trees also scored two goals ending the period tied. In the second period Island Trees scored three more goals.
