Several St. Kilian CYO basketball teams recently participated in Christmas tournaments, and performed very well.

The sixth grade girls, coached by Brian Mulcahy and Joe Gugliero, swept through the St. Matthew tourney, winning all 5 games. The championship game was a 22-18 victory over the host St. Matthew's team. The girls finished in first place in their CYO division with a 12-0 record and are now getting ready for the playoffs.

Their team roster is as follows: Courtney Cullen, Jill D'Andrea, Christina Gugliero, Jackie Heffel, Nicole Juray, Ali Lauterborn, Michelle Maier, Kelli Mannellino, Kim Miller, and Ally Mulcahy.

St. Kilian CYO extended best wishes to the girls and their coaches "on a super job" and "best wishes for success in the CYO playoffs."

The St. Kilian sixth grade boys team, coached by John Ochwat and John Heenan, entered the St. Agnes Tournament and went undefeated in three games. They took the measure of St. Joseph, Garden City, St. Raymond, East Rockaway, and the host team, St. Agnes.

Their team roster is as follows: Brian Alfieri, Colin Gonzalez, Nick Haas, Ryan Heenan, Kyle Hoglund, Patrick Lombardo, Chris Maier, Jonathan Nelson, Kyle Ochwat, and Keenan Ochwat.

St. Kilian CYO extended congratulations to the boys and their coaches on a "great tournament," and continued success in the CYO season.

The fifth grade boys team, coached by Jack Reynolds and Chris Hart, entered the St. Matthew's Tournament, and played very well, winning the first four games. They lost the championship game by 1 point to the host St. Matthew team.

Their team roster is as follows: Joe Bagnasco, Ryan Boyle, Joseph DeClemente, Carl Galioto, Michael Giordano, Timmy Hart, James Hogan, and Jack Reynolds.

St. Kilian CYO extended congratulations to the fifth grade boys and their coaches on a "great job" and "best wishes for a continuing successful CYO season."
