Helen A. Monz, 90, of Farmingdale, died on Dec. 16, 1999. Wife of the late Frank. Aunt of Helen Engelhart, Joan Meyerhoefer, Carol Storz, Lois Stueck, Janet Alt, Barbara Reiders, Albert Wehner, Charles Hillicke, Pater Osternsman and Walter Hillicke. Alice Whelan, 88, of Pensacola formerly of Farmingdale, died on Jan. 5, 1999. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Whelan. Mrs. Whelan was born in Clayton-Le-Moors, England. Both she and her husband and son came to the US in 1952.

After he husband's passing, Mrs. Whelan came to live with her son and daughter-in-law, first in Hawaii and finally Pensacola. Mrs. Whelan was a volunteer for Sacred Heart Hospital, working in the gift shop. She was also a member of the British West Floridians

She is survived by her son, Peter; daughter-in-law, Camille; and two grandsons, Michael and Christopher and their wives, Kristy and Keyll. She also has three great-grandchildren, Danielle, Alisha and Chandler; and one brother, Harry of Calvert, England.

A memorial service was held on Jan. 8 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Father Paul White officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
