Calling all home gardeners and businesses with community spirit:

Wouldn't it be lovely to stroll down Main Street on a balmy summer evening with our families and admire 50 unique miniature flower gardens filling our tree wells all along Main Street!

The Beautification Committee of Farmingdale is seeking volunteers to Adopt-a-Tree Well on Main Street from May 15 until Oct. 15. If you desire to make our village more beautiful and would like to meet other families and businesses in our community, please consider joining us by adopting a tree well. Your commitment would be to design a miniature flower garden to fill an approximate 3 x 3' area, plant and nurture this little garden from May through October.

All Farmingdale families and businesses are welcome to take part in this exciting beautification project. Just send a postcard to the following address by Jan. 31 and we'll contact you with a first meeting date early March. Please send a postcard with your name, address and telephone to: Adopt-a-Tree Well Project, c/o Beautification Committee, 135 Main Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735.

Should you have any questions, feel free to call our coordinators, Frank and Danielle LiCausi, at 249-0885 between noon and 6 p.m.
