The Farmingdale Phantoms recently won the Farmingdale under 7 and under 8 boys soccer team championship by a score of 5-0. All ten boys played the entire game with no rest as there were no substitutes.

The outstanding defensive players, Zack Wetzel, Xavier Bonilla and Angelo Brussiel, allowed no shots on goal throughout the game - although Steven Matson would have been ready in the goal as he did an excellent goaltending job through all of the play-off games.

Outstanding efforts were made by halfbacks Anthony Ostrander and T.J. DiCarlo as well as offensive players K.C. Worker, Kenny Lutz, Nick Srica and Steven Sullivan. The five goals were scored by Anthony Ostrander, T.J. DiCarlo, K.C. Worker and Kenny Lutz (2).
