Christine Kuhlmann (nee Dugre) died on Dec. 3, 1999. Wife of Edward. Daughter of Lillian and Jean Dugre. Sister of Suzanne Didio. Aunt of Nicholas and Katelyn Didio. Vivian Dolly Blesi Caronia was born in Bethpage, then known as Central Park, on July 16, 1914/ With the exception of two years, she has been a resident of Bethpage. The youngest daughter of Frank and Frances Blesi, Dolly grew up with a brother, Nicholas Blesi (deceased) and a sister Rose Ericksen (deceased). She was born in "the number streets," moving to the "big white house" on Powell Ave. when she was a young child. She married Charles Caronia, another Central Park native, in St. Martin of Tours Church on April 25, 1937. From that point forward she dedicated herself to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ahead of her time for a woman of her generation, Dolly returned to work while in her late forties, juggling time between house, family and Gertz (Sterns) Department Store. She was well-known and loved by many friends who felt her kindness and enjoyed her vibrant smile. Her family will deeply miss a wonderful mother and grandmother who showed love and caring in all her undertakings, including her famous apple pies. She always had a smile, even in recent years, as she struggled with the loss of Charles, her husband of nearly 61 years, who died in 1998. She leaves behind four children, JoAnn Steiger, Francine Seminario, Charlie Caronia and Darlene Walter. She also had nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Wife of the late Frank. Mother and mother-in-law of Frank and Patricia, Edward and Stephanie and Stephen and Susan. Sister of Irene Galkowski. Grandmother of Christine, Mark, Melissa and Stephanie.
