We would like to congratulate the Farmingdale High School Boys Soccer Team, as well as coaches Archie Defendini and Bruce Tetelman, in achieving the Nassau County co-championship along with Southside High School.

The team came alive over the first half of the season, after several tactical and positional changes were made by coaches Defendini and Tetelman. The three-game play-off run, including wins over Hempstead and Plainview, and an 0-0 tie with Southside, was outstanding. The Dalers were declared co-champions with Southside and lost in penalty kicks, despite outplaying the opposition for the whole game.

This was the first time that Farmingdale has won the county soccer championship. Congrats on a great season.
