The Farmingdale Hawk 7/8 White Team this week beat a tough Inwood team 19-7 with an impressive showing on both sides of the ball. After Inwood scored on the first play of the game to take a 7-0 lead the Hawk defense completely shut them down holding them to two first downs for the entire rest of the game. Outstanding defense was played by Richard Godwin, Keith Hadnagy, Hayden Kirk, James Merrill, Chris Muller, Anthony Ostrander, Chris Pendergast, Danny Bokser, Mike Catapano, T.J. DiCarlo, Nick Francis and Drew Kolonics.
The Hawk offense controlled the ball for the majority of the first half finally scoring on a long touchdown run by Keith Hadnagy. The extra point failed giving Inwood a 7-6 half-time lead. The Hawks came out on fire in the second half with Mike Catapano scoring on a sweep around right end for a 12-7 Hawk lead. The final touchdown was scored by Keith Hadnagy after a long drive engineered by quarterback Joseph Kennedy. The point after touchdown was scored by Anthony Ostrander for the final margin of victory. The offensive line of Daniel Bitsimis, Ronnie Rothstein, Timothy Curly, Bruce Hellmich, J.D. Terzi, Danny Rogers and Joseph Trocchia dominated the line of scrimmage all day opening up huge holes for the running backs. Next up for the Hawks who are 1-0-1, is a tough Franklin Square squad.
