The Pirates, sponsored by Victor's Jewelers, recently won the Triple A Division of the Farmingdale Baseball League.

The Pirates won the Triple A Division of the Farmingdale Baseball League.

In going undefeated in 17 games, the heavy hitting Pirates scored more than 10 runs in 15 games.

The Pirates' offensive barrage was led by the big bats of Thomas Romano (8 home runs), Kevin Kresofsky (8 home runs), Sean Donovan (3 home runs), Chris Brosnan and Ryan Boyle. The Pirates also received timely hitting from Joe Mangione, Eric McIntyre, Richie Sacco, Andrew Hartenstein, Joe Ward and Jonathan DeStefano, who showed the most improvement over the season.

The hard-throwing pitching staff was led by Romano, Kresofsky, Donovan and Mangione. The Pirates displayed great defense and overall team play in winning their 3 playoff games.

The team was coached by Bob Romano, Jay Boyle, Frank McIntyre and Dave Kresofsky. The entire team would like to thank Rose Marie Mangione, who supplied the team with chocolate chip cookies, which fueled the Pirates throughout the season.
