Lions U-10 boys travel soccer team recently finished an exciting spring campaign undefeated and atop Division 1 Nassau County with a record of eight wins and one tie.

The season included victories over tough opponents (Auburndale, Massapequa, Cold Spring Harbor, Hewlett and Rockville Centre), come from behind wins (Oceanside and Albertson), and a hard fought tie (Valley Stream). The championship came down to a final game with the defending fall season champ Merrick. The Lions pounced quickly and clawed their way to a four goal first half lead. The defense took over and the final score was 4-1.
During the season, the Lions displayed an explosive offense, a smothering defense, and exceptional teamwork. The offense was sparked by Steven Morales, Nick Hadnagy, Ricky Williamson, Willie Sinatra, Chris Norton, John Quinn and Franco Martorana. The defense was led by Peter Ostrander, Peter Gomez, Matt Copius, Matt Eckert and Brian Rossi who displayed excellent goalkeeping skills.
