The 1999 Farmingdale High School Boy's JV Lacrosse team completed a tremendous season with a record of 12 wins and three losses. They scored a total of 146 goals for the season with only 70 total goals scored by their opponents. Their "man down" team also had an impressive 88 percent total of goals not being scored against them.
Outstanding on defense were Bryan Zachmann and Dave Mariani. Chris Padden and Brian Dunne led a strong midfield line. Leading the high scoring attack were Tim Rogers, Mark Sweeney and Justin Venezia. Additionally, goalie Tom Hind accumulated an amazing 108 saves for the season.
The team's most memorable victory was a 7-6 overtime win against Massapequa. Although the Dalers were losing 4-1 at half time, they were not discouraged. The team scored two goals in the final two minutes of the game to tie the score at 6-6. Justin Venezia scored the winning goal in overtime with an assist by Brian Dunne. It was a great game and great season!
