On Friday, May 21, I went over to see my two nephews get ready for the Farmingdale junior prom. Everyone was excited and happy on this beautiful night. Three limousines were leaving from their home, so an invitation was extended by Mr. & Mrs. Castellane for everyone's family to come over to take pictures. As the evening went on, the girls and their dates started to arrive. They took pictures on the front lawn under an arch of balloons made by some of the mom's and in the backyard among the flowers. The young ladies looked beautiful in their colorful gowns and the young men looked handsome in their tuxedoes.

By 6 p.m. there were 200 people at the house - in the street, on the front law, on the decks and in the backyard. It was such a wonderful sight to see. With all the violence going on in this country with our young people, it was such a good feeling to see the support and love from family members and friends that these 30 young people had that evening.

As they drove off to enjoy an evening of fun, I'm sure this special sendoff made them proud of each and everyone of you that were there.

What a great group of kids!
