    In an effort to promote bicycling as a viable means of transportation and recreation, Paumonok Bicycling of Long Island is planning an island-wide family bike ride to be held on May 2.     The Columbus Lodge #2143 Order Sons of Italy in America will begin playing weekly Sunday morning Úquot;pick-upÚquot; softball games, starting April 11 and running through Oct. 1. The games begin at 9:30 a.m., at Woodward Parkway Elementary School in Farmingdale.
