The St. Kilian Stars of the CYO seventh-grade girls basketball league recently completed a very successful 1998/99 season. The team finished 11 - 3 after being eliminated in the semi-final of the playoffs by St. Raymond's, of East Rockaway, 29 - 23. St. Raymond's went on to win the Nassau-Suffolk CYO seventh-grade gold division championship. St. Kilian's 10 - 2 regular season record earned them a third place finish in a 12 team conference. The team, pictured above, from left to right, are (front row): Katie Hogan, Krista Daniello, Meghan Fanning, Lisa Buono and Jessica Cohen; (second row) Lauren Cohen, Christina Tinney, Diana Beltrani, Jessica Patane and Caitlin Magri.
