In light of the recent award bestowed upon the mayor and board of trustees of Farmingdale Village by the Nassau County Village Officials Association, Best Practices of Village Government, for doing more with less and holding the line on taxes for 10 consecutive years, I have illustrated how the spending has remained level.

The following is a comparison of the annual expenditures of the Village of Farmingdale from 1989:
