On Saturday evening, Dec. 5, at Friar Tuck Inn NY the final drawing was held for the Knights of Columbus Charitable and Benevolent Drive for 1998. We are very pleased to announce that one of our own neighbors right here in Farmingdale was the winner of one of the $1,000 prizes! We would like to thank all the people of Farmingdale for taking the time to stop by one of the tables and taking one of the tickets from one of the Brother Knights for the prizes. Without you good people the program would not have been the success that it was.

This was the first time that the Farmingdale community can make the claim that we had one of the winners from our C&B drive! The monies raised will help the many charities of the five dioceses throughout New York state, of which Rockville Centre is one! The winners of the first prize was also real close by ¬ Bethpage! So maybe next year we in the Farmingdale area can make another claim "The winner of the top prize of $25,000 was won by someone from Farmingdale, LI."
