The Farmingdale Hawk 9-Year-Old team, coached by Jay Boyle, Tom Bagnasco, Jack Reynolds, Nick Ryan and Charlie Dittmar, will be going to the finals for the second year in a row. The team will defend its championship on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. at Mineola's Hampton Stadium. The team consists of the following players:

Robert Anchelowitz, Joseph Bagnasco, Selvin Barrett, Ryan Boyle, Joseph Castranova, Patrick Ceriello, Nicholas D'Amico, Richard D'Amico, Joseph DeClemente, Michael Diamond, Mitchell Dittmar, Michael Giordano, Richard Herrscher, James Hogan, Wade Hults, Mathew Kwapisz, Robert Muller, John Olbeter, Christopher Racioppi, Jack Reynolds, Nicholas Ryan, Heather Smith, Brian Smolin, Bryan Sutherland, Sean Tenny and Robert Winant.

The team thanked the parents and cheerleaders for their support and patience, especially "Team Moms" Sue DeClemente and Charlene Sutherland. They also asked that members of the community attend their upcoming championship game as a show of support.
