Last Sunday at the Howitt field, the Farmingdale Hawks 11-year-old football team beat the Garden City Thunder by a score of 28-6. The Hawks finish the regular season with a record of 6-2, losing only to Roosevelt and Massapequa. This win clinches a play-off spot as the Hawks take third place.

The offense and defense were outstanding with four touchdowns and two 2-point conversions that made the 28 points for the Hawks. No points were scored by the Garden City offense. The touchdown was a blocked punt in the fourth quarter that the Thunder ran into the end zone.

The coaching staff and the parents congratulated Jarad Adams, Ryan Bagnasco, Chris Ball, Nakyle Bethay, Stephen Coulaz, Chris Daro, Danny Dervin, Joe Doran, Nick Hecht, Joe Hudson, Paul Janoscak, Tom Laserna, Jelani McCowan, Mensah Ohene, Charles Ross, Joe Roumpas, Sean Ryan, Brian Schellhorn, Anthony Scrimo and Shane Weber for a great season and a job well done.

Come out to the Elmont football stadium next Sunday when the Hawks take on the Massapequa Mustangs in the first round of the NCYFL championship playoffs.
