The 5-6-year-old Hawks White team continued its winning streak last weekend with an impressive 18-6 victory over a tough Lindenhurst Green team.

After Lindenhurst scored on its first possession to take a 6-0 lead, the Hawks defense completely shut down Lindenhurst for the rest of the game.

Outstanding team defense was played by Matthew Sohmer, Michael Mitchell, Michael Sciroppo, Richard Godwin, Bobby McDonough, Joseph Kennedy, Hayden Kirk, Anthony Ostrander and Keith Hadnagy.

The Hawk offense came to life in the second quarter, erupting for two scores to take a 12-6 halftime lead. Crushing blocks by Raymond Ryan, Mike Palmer, Zachary Rousselle and Brian Donaldson led the way for long touchdown runs by Ostrander and Kirk. The Hawks opened the second half with a beautiful pitch play from quarterback Kennedy to Hadnagy, who raced down the sideline for the game's final score.

The Hawks White team with a record of 7-0 faces its final challenge this week with a home game against a strong Lindenhurst Gold team.
