Farmingdale and Massapequa high school football teams went head to head Saturday for one of their biggest games of the season. The ultimate 14-14 tie between the Conference 1 rivals left Farmingdale a bit frustrated.

The game started off slow, but by half-time, the Dalers took the lead with 14-0. Tom Ryan and Brian Zuchelli led the offensive with aggressive attacks on the Chief's offense. Quarterback Craig Murphy ran for a touchdown and threw a great pass to Mike Kluge, giving Farmingdale the two-touchdown advantage.

After half-time, Massapequa improved their game, bringing the score to 14-7. With three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs took advantage of gaining possession of the ball to score the tying touchdown.

Defensively, Dalers Rob Chechilo and Mike Scrimo played very well, making a noteworthy 18 tackles.
