The Columbus Lodge No. 2143 Order of Sons of Italy in America will play softball against the New York Jets' Matt O'Dwyer and his celebrity team this summer at Carmen Road Park in Massapequa, L.I.

Ed Bochynski, a corporate tax manager for Deloitte & Touche LLP and Pete Gisonda, a retired US postmaster, are the co-chairmen of the Columbus Lodge softball team who will be assembling members of the Order of Sons of Italy in America (OSTA) to play in this charitable event.

"Bring on the Jets," said Anthony Curran, 22-year-old member of the Columbus Lodge Matt O'Dwyer, the 6 ft. 4 in. 300-lb. former Big Ten standout from Northwestern University, was drafted by the New York Jets in 1985. Joining O'Dwyer's celebrity team will be professional wrestler Sunny Beach, from the Universal Wrestling Federation (UWF).

Arthritis is an inflammation of the joints usually caused by wear and tear injury or infection. There are more than 100 types of arthritis, ranging from mild to disabling. The three most common types are Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis and the Gout. While arthritis affects adults of all ages, arthritis attacks more than half of the adults over age 65.

This summer, the Columbus Lodge No. 2143 OSIA will participate in several softball games to raise money for various Long Island charities. In addition to the Arthritis Foundation, the Columbus Lodge will be playing on April 1 for Easter Seals and April 22 for the Ronald McDonald House.
