Defense was the crux of the game for the Rockets, when on April 29 the sixth-grade division of the Police Activity League had their championship game.

The Rockets had to beat the Clippers in Round 1 and the Kings in Round 2 to finally face the tough and talented Lakers team. Lawrence Stuart was the leading scorer, with 12 points, Sanjeev Sharma was next with 6 points, and Travis Filosa followed with 5 points. Matt Salurio had 4 points, while Tom Murphy, Matt Bianco, Chris Hale, Sean Starke and Stephen Marcus each had 2. Sharma led the team in rebounds. Tommy Rogers and Matt McNulty, along with the rest of the team played excellent defense to pull off this big win.

The Rockets players voted 2 teammates to play in the upcoming league All Star game. Travis Filosa and Lawrence Stuart will represent the team in this game.
