Farmingdale's PAL 6th grade White lacrosse team on Sunday posted its second win on a rain swept field.
The team's attack supplied the offensive punch as Keith Naus scored three goals, and Danny Hushion provided three goals and an assist.
Midfielders Lawrence Stuart and Mario Fioccola each scored a goal. Travis Filosa had two assists. Coach Ron Filosa indicated that the attack can only score when the defense does the job and the midfielders, the horsepower of the team, carry the ball over the midfield line. Midfielders that didn't score but provided great effort and contributed to the team's success were Donny Fowler, Adam Milkas, Chris Mextorf, Justin Connors and Eric Brunner.
Coach Dan Hushion was impressed with the aggressiveness and attitude of team's defensive players, Joe Galgano, Nick Fugarazzo and Sean Starke.
"Not only did they have a lot of take-a-ways between them and caused their attackmen to make bad passes, they also handled the ball well enough to start the offensive from our defensive half of the field," he said. We had a few fast breaks started by long passes from our defensive players." The team is 2-0 and will be on the road for the next three games.
