The march-up of lightning's took place on Sunday, March 29 with the lightning of Farmingdale besting Lindenhurst 3-0. The U13 girls travel soccer team from Farmingdale attacked from the beginning of the game and never let up. With relentless pressure on the Lindenhurst defense Farmingdale kept their opponents goalie busy with shot upon shot at the net. The half ended scoreless but Farmingdale was confident they would score. The second half became a one-sided game with Farmingdale dominating. Goals by Katie Pullen, newcomer Dayna Moses and Meaghan Fitzpatrick put Farmingdale on Top. Forwards Dayna Moses, Joanna Venditto, Katie Pullen, Meghan McCoy, Megan Miller and Meaghan Fitzpatrick kept attacking the entire game. Solid midfield play by Gina Messina, Melinda Mantooth, Michelle Pares, Candace Grosser and Nicole Layton slowed down the Lindenhurst attack all day. Outstanding defense by Christine DeRiso, Stephanie Veveakis, Liana Spiciarich, Jackie Marcel and Kim Hillier stopped Lindenhurst time after time. Meaghan Fitzpatrick and Gina Messina combined for their second straight shutout of the season.

Kaitlyn McInnis did not play.
