Brian Berger Heads to Select Team

Brian Berger of North Massapequa, a player with the Merrick Storm soccer team, recently earned a place on the Long Island Select soccer team.

Merrick Storm finished in second place in division one of the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSC) and is advancing to the premier league of the LIJSC. The Storm continues with their success, according to the team's coaches, by being able to pick up players who have outstanding character and athletic ability. Berger has both of these traits, his coaches said.

Berger is one of the latest additions to the Storm and has helped the team continue with their success. Before joining the team, he played with the Farmingdale Blue Strikers soccer team. He is a team player, in addition to being one of the leading scorers on the team, the coaches said. Berger is Merrick Storm's only Select Team player.
