The guild is a community based, nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to the enrichment of life through the arts. It promotes and supports a wide variety of cultural activities.

LITERARY ARTS
Reader's Repertory Workshop - presents performances of dramatic readings and gives participants an opportunity to expand their skills under professional direction.

VISUAL ARTS
Arts and Crafts Festival, annual outdoor celebration of fine art and crafts. Annual juried art and photography shows to give artists a forum for displaying their talents. Classes, lectures, films and museum trips.

MUSIC
Free outdoor summer concerts featuring band, jazz, folk and popular music. The South Shore Symphony is now under the Flagship of R.C.G.F.T.A. Performances by world-renowned musicians. Young artists concerts.

THEATER
Community Theater Group-offers amateur thespians an opportunity to take part in fully-staged musicals and dramatic plays. Recent productions have included: "Mame", "Social Security", "Prisoner of 2nd Avenue", "110 in the Shade" and "Oliver".

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Membership in the Rockville Centre Guild for the Arts provides many benefits including free special events and trips for members and their children, discounts to Guild presentations and performances and "CENTERFOLD" - the Guild's information publication.

Active participation is needed in all facets of the organization in order that the Guild may expand its programs and reach more of the community with enjoyable arts activities.

VILLAGE ART CLUB
OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE

The Village Art Club of Rockville Centre is a nonprofit community organization which promotes the visual arts, supports and encourages artists as well as community enjoyment and appreciation of the visual arts through programs, exhibits and competitions.

They present open Juried Art Shows, Member's Art Shows and rotating exhibits each year. Informative public meetings present leading artists demonstrating their work techniques each month. The monthy newsletter provides news of upcoming art shows and workshops.

Membership is open to those over 18 years of age who are artists at any level or who are interested in supporting the visual arts.

Demonstration meetings take place at the Rockville Centre Library, the 4th Tues. at 7:30 pm (Sept.-May). The public is invited to attend.
