Operation Pride
Outpatient drug abuse treatment and prevention program providing individual, family and group counseling to drug involved individuals. The agency provides youth groups which conduct anti-drug activities, with the goal of discouraging drug abuse among Freeport young people.
Services are provided to families of drug abusers.

Freeport Youth Outreach, Inc.
Funded by the Nassau County Youth Board. Servicing all of Freeport youth and their families. Counseling, job referral, vocational training, employment service and social service assistance. Post institutional project for people who are incarcerated. Parent and community workshops.

South Shore Child Guidance Center
Licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health to provide outpatient psychiatric services to children pre-school age through 21 in the south-central area of Nassau County. Psychiatric evaluation and treatment, individual therapy and an extensive variety of groups including family, teens, single parents, parents of preschoolers and more. Also a special Early Childhood Assessment Program.

Treatment program for children of alcoholics. Service available to Spanish speaking families. Sliding scale fees based on family size and gross annual income, Medicaid and 3rd party insurance accepted. Parents may apply by calling clinic and requesting an application.
Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs 9 am-9 pm; Wed, Fri 9 am-5 pm.

Woodward Mental Health Center
Designed to meet the needs of emotionally disturbed children ages 3-21. Day treatment program provides diagnostic, intervention and prevention services. Program includes individual, group and family psychotherapy integration with special education in a therapeutic setting. Aid-to-daily living skills training is provided. Inquiries are welcomed, but referral must come from local school districts.

Mental Retardation Assoc. for the Help of Retarded Children
Comprehensive services for children and adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in Nassau County including: education for preschool and school age children who are excluded from public school facilities.
