There are many speakers out there. The challenge is identifying how to find one and to know what topics are available?
Over the years, I have done quite a number of presentations, and of course I had my TV show, Face-Off, for over 14 years, along with appearances on Fox, MSNBC and CNN. Even with all of the above, most people did not know that I was available for PowerPoint presentations on seven different topics. Then, I decided to create a website where all the information would be readily available to anyone interested.
On the website – www.BobMcMillan.net – my lecture topics are laid out, along with personal brief videos, a biography, and how to best get in touch with me. The website has really worked quite well, because the number of my speaking engagements has rapidly increased.
Let me now lay out for you the seven different topics currently available with PowerPoint presentations. The newest topic is entitled “English Is the Global Language.” This presentation traces the origins of English as a language. It goes on to identify the dominance of English all over the world with over a billion people fluent in English.
Another presentation covers some ancient history about China and takes a close look at transnational issues, which currently impact on the United States–China relations. Trade, North Korea, nuclear weapons, the U.S. debt, and Taiwan are laid out in detail. And pictures are included dealing with a recent tour of China taken by me and my wife.
One of the presentations getting the most requests relates to the history and future of the Panama Canal. Based on my experience on the Canal’s Board and as chairman, it takes a close look at the current expansion project, the economic importance of the Canal, and includes historic and current photos of the Canal in operation.
The other presentation, with a great deal of interest, mixes some serious foreign policy issues along with presidents whom I have had personal and direct contact. It also covers some fun stories, including my Marilyn Monroe experience in Korea.
One presentation covers a detailed look at the history and future of the health care as prescribed by “Obamacare.”
Next, with all the current controversy over changes in immigration laws at the State level, I take a serious look at early immigration to the United States and then fully examine state efforts to deal with illegal immigrants and current legislation being considered at the federal level.
Finally, I have a presentation dealing with the history of Guantanamo from Columbus to GITMO. Should GITMO be closed? Where should terrorists be tried? And how long does our Guantanamo lease last with Cuba?
In closing, let me tell you how much I enjoy sharing parts of my life with interested audiences. If you have an interest, please get in touch with me.
