Join the Long Island Astros in their 12th year of Indoor Winter Baseball Clinics at Herricks High School. Learn the basic fundamentals from former Hofstra Baseball Coach Scott Coppola and his staff. The clinic is open to both boys and girls 7-years of age or older.

The following skills will be taught:

Learn hand to eye coordination.

Live hitting and bunting to improve overall skills

Learn footwork for your position

Learn proper throwing mechanisms

Learn the proper way to field groundballs and fly balls.

Individual one on one instruction

Learn proper stretching, delivery and throwing motions

Lear the proper way to hold runners on

• Catchers

Learn techniques to block pitches and throw to the bases.

Catch live pitching

• Running and Conditioning

Learn pre-game warm up.

Learn how to steal bases

Learn how to slide properly.
